All Star Opera

Bohemian Hip Hop/Jazz

At the surface level, All Star Opera is a 6-piece hip-hop/jazz band based out of Seattle – dig a little deeper, and you will find a collective of artists balancing a diversity of talents and influences.

The band is fronted by MC's (and lifelong friends) Oz & Flow Carter. Supplying the backbone of tight rhythmic grooves are drummer Tylee Toyoda and bassist, Keith Gledhill. Heavy licks + tasteful melodies echoed out by guitarist Will Greenburg, or the soulful chords produced by singer-songwriter, Seth From Above on keys. Although the "Opera" in the band name is just a metaphor, all 6 of their voices can be heard on hooks and/or backup vocals. MC, Flow Carter, gets down on trumpet when he is not rapping, both on record and live.

Voted 'Best Band In Seattle' in August 2017 via the Seattle Weekly, ASO has come a long way in a relatively short amount of time.

All Star Opera has been working relentlessly ever since the release of their debut EP, Shifting States, in 2016. For starters, 35+ shows have been rocked by All Star Opera in the past year alone. They performed at Capitol Hill Block Party '17 in Seattle where the likes of Thundercat and Run The Jewels played as well. A 15 date west coast tour as main support for the KnowMads in September 2017 additionally brought them tons of new listeners. Amidst the live show grind and working day jobs, they still found time to write and record their debut album as a band. The All Star Opera LP released on October 17th, 2017 and has been receiving high praise from the Seattle music community and their outlets thus far.

Other notable acts they have performed with are hip-hop legends Devin The Dude, and Sir Mix-A-Lot, and Seattle jazz powerhouse, Industrial Revelation.

This is friendly-funky-dreamy-grungy-creamy-yummy-steamy-crunchy music for your hungry soul.
